Sintra is a UNESCO World Heritage Town with so many attractions that you could spend a week looking around everything. It is a great place to visit, but has a micro climate that sometimes means that it can be misty until the sun burns through in the late morning.
Lisbon is a 20 minute drive away but we recommend that you travel by train from the village station during week days when traffic is busy and there is limited parking available. Tickets are less than €2.
Portugal is a small country and have many beautiful sites to visit only a few hours away, sometimes even less. Thanks to that many day trips can be done, allowing the visitors to discover a lot in one day.
